Leadport (IC Brokers FZ LLC) is a lead generation business registered in the Meydan Freezone, UAE. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not provide investment advice, financial advice, or direct product recommendations. This page explains our regulatory position, data handling practices, and buyer responsibilities.
FCA Status
IC Brokers FZ LLC is not authorised or regulated by the FCA. Lead generation for investment and financial services firms does not itself require FCA authorisation, provided the lead generator does not carry out regulated activities - including giving investment advice, arranging deals in investments, or communicating financial promotions to retail clients.
Leadport does not carry out any of these regulated activities. We generate and supply contact data from individuals who have expressed an interest in a specific product category. We do not discuss products directly with leads, and we do not make recommendations.
Buyers are responsible for ensuring that their own activities - including any financial promotions used in campaigns, and all direct contact with leads - comply with FCA rules and any other applicable regulation.
Financial Promotions
Where supply partners run campaigns to generate leads, those campaigns may constitute financial promotions under section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Buyers are responsible for reviewing and approving campaign materials before campaigns go live. Leadport does not approve financial promotions on behalf of buyers.
For regulated products - including EIS, SEIS, and pension-related leads - campaign materials must be reviewed and approved by an FCA-authorised person or firm before use.
Data Protection and GDPR
IC Brokers FZ LLC is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). All lead data is collected, processed, and transferred in accordance with UK GDPR and PECR.
Consent
Every lead carries documented, specific consent for the individual to be contacted in relation to the product category they enquired about. Consent is stored against individual lead records and available to buyers on request.
Data transfers
Lead data is transferred to buyers electronically upon validation. Buyers receive the data as data controllers in their own right and are responsible for handling it in accordance with UK GDPR from the point of receipt.
Retention and deletion
Lead data is retained by IC Brokers FZ LLC in line with our ICO registration. Individuals can request deletion by contacting sales@leadport.co.uk.
Buyer Responsibilities
By purchasing leads from Leadport, buyers confirm that:
- They hold any FCA authorisation, appointed representative status, or other regulatory permission required for their activities
- They have reviewed and approved all campaign materials constituting financial promotions before leads are generated
- They will handle all lead data in accordance with UK GDPR and PECR from the point of receipt
- They will contact leads only in relation to the product category stated on the lead record
- They will not resell or redistribute lead data to third parties without the individual's consent
Tax Disclaimer
Where Leadport references tax reliefs, exemptions, or treatments - including EIS income tax relief, SEIS income tax relief, CGT exemptions on UK legal-tender gold coins, and wasting-chattel treatment for whisky casks or fine wine - these are provided for general information only.
